Mike Elliott
Team Leader – Sergeant First Class

The team leader of The Ranger Group’s Parachute Team, has more than 20 years of military service, serving in Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm and Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan with 7th SFG and 10th SFG.

He has logged assignments with both the esteemed 82nd Airborne Division as well as its rival for fame and prestige, the 101st Airborne Division.He has earned every instructional and technical rating available in the skydiving community and has more than 9,000 parachute jumps, including more than 3,000 tandem parachute jumps. He has conducted tandem jumps with passengers ranging from high level dignitaries and internationally renowned celebrities to soldiers returning from combat. His experience as demonstration team leader and tandem team leader for the elite U.S. Army Parachute Team ensures that The Ranger Group tandems and demonstrations are conducted with the utmost of professionalism, safety, and precision.

Dana Bowman
Sergeant First Class

Dana Bowman has astounded the nation with his drive, determination, and will to succeed. He is a retired Sergeant First Class with the US Army where he was a Special Forces Soldier and a member of the US Army Parachute Team.

Dana, a double amputee, lost his legs in a parachuting accident during annual training in Yuma, Arizona in 1994.

Nine months later he became the 1st double amputee to re-enlist in the Army. He retired in 1996 and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Commercial Aviation at the University of North Dakota.

 Harold Meyers
Sergeant First Class, Retired

One of the most experienced demonstrators in the country, with 15 years of experience as a professional parachute demonstrator and eight years as a demonstration team leader, first with the 82nd Airborne Division Freefall Demonstration Team and ultimately with the U.S. Army Parachute Team.

He has more than 4,200 parachute jumps, most of which are precision demonstrations into local, national, and even international events. In addition to parachuting, he served his country for six years as an armored vehicle crewman and eight years as a vehicle maintenance sergeant, completing a year-long assignment in Korea, a two-year assignment in Germany, and finishing his military career with more than 21 years of active service and six years of service in the National Guard.

Khalida Hendricks
Master Sergeant

A woman who has forged new trails through the Special Operations community as an Arabic, Albanian, and French linguist and Middle East expert. She thrived in several Special Operations assignments spanning six combat deployments and two overseas assignments.

Most recently, she represented women in the Army as a member of the U.S. Army Parachute Team, where she served as a parachute demonstrator and competed at an international level. She is now pursuing a Ph.D. in Physics while continuing to serve as a member of the U.S. Army Reserves in the field of Military Intelligence.

Charles Cooley
Master Sergeant

He has served more than 21 years with the U.S. Army. He recently returned from a deployment to Iraq with the 108th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, and has also completed deployments to Afghanistan, Korea, and Germany.

MSG Cooley’s service includes tours with the world-renowned 82nd Airborne Division, conducting 75 night-time static line combat training jumps, and serving with the U.S. Army Parachute Team, logging more than 1,300 freefall parachute jumps and competing on behalf of the U.S. army.

Chris Altman
Chief Warrant Officer

Highlighting the technical expertise found within The Ranger Group’s Parachute Team, this member has logged more than 14 years as a parachute maintenance technician.

He has worked in every facet of the world of parachute operations, including air-drop systems, covert parachute infiltration missions, mass tactical aerial insertion, and in the highly specialized and technical field of demonstration parachuting. In assignments ranging from the 82nd Airborne Division to overseas deployments, he has attained the highest level of professional expertise in the field of parachute design and maintenance.

Peter J. White
Sergeant First Class

He began his demonstration parachuting career while assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division in 1997. He served as a member of the U.S. Army Parachute Team in several positions, including demonstrator, instructor, and Assistant Team Leader from 1998 until his transition to the Alabama National Guard in 2004.

In 2007, SFC White was recalled to the U.S. Army Parachute Team, and was the first Army National Guard soldier permitted to remain on Active National Guard Status while serving with the U.S. Army Parachute Team as a demonstration parachutist. SFC White has served two combat tours in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, has amassed more than 2,500 freefall parachute jumps, and has earned numerous instructional and technical ratings in the skydiving community.

Ryan Ray
Staff Sergeant

An active duty Paratrooper stationed at Fort Bragg, NC. He enlisted in the Army in 2003, has logged more than 2,300 jumps, and holds numerous skydiving and FAA certifications.

He served five years on the U.S. Army Parachute Team, and was voted by his peers as Golden Knight of the Year in 2009. SSG Ray has performed demonstration jumps before millions of spectators and recently represented the U.S. Armed Forces at an international military parachuting competition. An Army Parachute Maintenance Technician by trade, SSG Ray understands attention to detail and selfless service. In addition to parachuting, SSG Ray has an Associate’s Degree in Computer Engineering and is currently working on a Bachelor’s Degree in Homeland Security. Just like many of the demonstrators, he also served with the 82nd Airborne Division and is currently serving with the Joint Special Operations Command.

Stephanie York
Sergeant, Retired

A former member of the 82nd Airborne Division, where she served as an airborne medic for four years. During a two-year assignment to Germany, she was assigned to a Forward Support Battalion and deployed to Kosovo.

After completing seven years of service, including 27 night-time combat training static line jumps, she attended Fayetteville Technical Community College and graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science. She is now a Dental Hygienist living in North Carolina.

Terri K. Bishop
Staff Sergeant, Retired

A former Signal soldier with more than 20 years of service in the U.S. Army and 68 night-time combat training static line jumps. She has served in the 18th Airborne Corps, the 82nd Airborne Division, and numerous other units, and had tours in Korea, Germany, Desert Shield/Storm, and Restore Hope in Somalia.

She holds a degree in Computer Information Systems and has a Bachelors in Business Administration from Campbell University. She is currently a Systems Data Analyst living in North Carolina.
